When and where is the beer festival?
The beer festival runs from Thursday 21st May 2026 to Saturday 23rd May 2026 at the Skipton Town Hall. Opening times are 11am to 10pm Thursday and Friday, and 11am to 8pm Saturday.
What are the entry prices?
General admission is £4 each. CAMRA members get free. Late admission (the last 2 hours of each day) will be free admission for all customers.
How do I join CAMRA to be more involved?
Simply join up here. Do this if you want to become involved, or if you simply want to support our real -ale focussed consumer campaigning while getting free entry to this and many other CAMRA beer festivals.
How do I purchase entry tickets?
Simply pay on arrival at the door.
We don’t sell Skipton Beer Festival entry tickets in advance, it keeps things simple for everyone.
Is there an age requirement to attend the beer festival?
Yes, you need to be 18 or over to attend.
Do I need beer tokens?
Nope. Keeping it simple, once you have bought your refundable glass you simply pay at the bar like you would in the pub.
So is it cash or card?
Yes, it is. Cash or card are both accepted, we like cash if you’ve got it.
Is there any disabled access?
Yes the town hall has step free access at the Jerry Croft side of the building.
What breweries will be participating in the festival?
Our team of volunteers works hard to obtain a range of beers. Many reflect the local area, many the wider county of Yorkshire, and some from further afield. We normally publish the list a week or two before the event.
How many beer options will be available at the festival?
We are ordering 60 cask beers and at least 8 different KeyKeg beers, and a range of real ciders.
Is it only real ale and real cider that you sell?
No we will also be ordering a small selection of other drinks including a craft lager, Prosecco and wine.
Are there any non-alcoholic beverage options for designated drivers or non-drinkers?
Yes we have a 0.0% beer for sale and free cordial, water, and tea/coffee.
Is there food available at the beer festival?
We will be selling a range of savoury snacks from a local supplier, things like pork pies, along with some crisps and nuts.
Can I bring my own food or snacks to the festival?
Yes you can, no problem. This allows for people with special dietary requirements.
Are there any restrictions on bringing water bottles or other beverages into the festival?
Your welcome to fetch water into the festival, but no other soft drinks or alcohol.
Is the beer festival indoors or outdoors?
This is an indoor festival but we do have a designated outdoor area if the weather is nice, or if you want to smoke or vape.
Are pets allowed at the festival?
Sorry no only registered assistance dogs are allowed into the festival.
Is there public transportation near the festival venue?
Yes the rail station is a 10 minute walk away and the bus station is 5 minutes away.
Is there parking available, and what are the parking options?
Yes there is a large pay and display car park at the rear of the town hall.
Can I bring my own seating, such as chairs or blankets?
Not on this occasion, we do offer some seating.
Are there any workshops, seminars, or tasting events scheduled during the festival?
We don't offer general workshops or seminars. There will be an invite-only judging panel on the Friday that is a regional heat of the Champion Beer of Britain competition.
Are there any volunteer opportunities for the beer festival?
Yes there are. Roles cover everything from desk-top publishing through to van drivers and first aid at work certificate holders. Please see the Volunteers page of this website for more information, before the deadline of 30th April. The sooner you come forward the more likely we are to find a role for you.
